Sales Managers Houston – New York – Calgary                                      Application closed

We are seeking sales managers to be responsible for the sales of the company’s upstream databases in the North American market. We have open positions in Houston, New York and Calgary. In addition to being responsible for sales, new hires will also be the first permanent resources on the ground at the respective location, thus having a great opportunity of developing a career at Rystad Energy.

 

Main sales targets are oil and gas companies, investment banks and oil service companies. Sales of vital business data through database subscriptions is relation based sales, where we also establish long-term relationship and cooperation with the users. Candidates should have the ability to communicate with potential client contacts on high level within their organizations.

 

The sales manager candidates should comply with as many as possible of the following preferred criteria:
• Higher academic degree
• Upstream oil and gas industry or capital market experience
• Experience from sales, pre-sales or other commercial activities
• Energetic, motivated and works independently
• High ethical standards

Database & Application Development – Oslo                                          Application closed

The Rystad Energy IT team develops our database products and proprietary applications, and maintains an advanced and modern IT infrastructure. The company also delivers IT projects to external clients based on our proprietary technology platform. We are looking for new enthusiastic colleagues to strengthen our team.

 

Tasks & Qualifications

Good candidates have experience and excellent skills within (some of) the fields:

  • SQL-programming - development of our databases and new database products (MSSQLServer 2008)
  • Analyses Services - constructing and optimizing OLAP cubes
  • C#/.NET programming - programming of applications and tools
  • System administration - configure and maintain our IT infrastructure/server park
  • IT project management experience – understand and deliver on our clients’ needs


Education & Qualifications

  • University degree in computer science or mathematics
  • 3-5 years experience in programming
  • Good English knowledge

Project Managers

Project Managers lead and manage client projects. Work duties include data research, data analysis and evaluation, developing presentations, and client liaison. Projects can be of national or international scope. Candidates must have the ability to rapidly acquire and draw conclusions from relevant information, whereby economical and commercial principles are required to be thoroughly understood. It is important to have excellent written and oral Norwegian and English language skills. Candidates should have work experience of more than four years, preferably from consulting within the oil and gas or oil service industry.

Consultants

Consultants work with strategy projects. Work duties include data research, analysis of data, synthesis, recognizing strategic implications, developing presentations, and presenting results to clients. Candidates must have a systematic mind and enjoy working out strategies for companies. Technical or business competency at university level is required and so is a sense of handling numbers and large amounts of information.

Analysts

Analysts engage in data research to keep our databases up-to-date and to support consulting projects. Tasks include data research, collecting and analyzing input from our data scouting teams, checking data consistency and qualification for use in the upstream model, and ensuring the model is up-to-date, correct, and complete. Excel is an important working tool. Candidates must have a technical background and a mathematical mind, preferably with experience in quality control/quality assurance.

Database Administrators/System Developers

The technology team is responsible for organizing and making our databases available. Tasks include maintenance and development of our databases, programming of applications for external use of data and internal data processing tools, and general IT support and responsibilities. The databases are implemented on an MSSQL-server, and applications are programmed in C#. Candidates must have experience in programming and setting up servers and applications. Mathematical skills are appreciated.
